Sue Ann Weaver was a fictional character on "The Facts of Life." She was played by actress Julie Piekarski through seventeen episodes of the series and one episode of "Diff'rent Strokes."

Bio[]

Sue Ann Weaver was a student at Eastland Academy in Peekskill, New York where she was close friends with Kimberly Drummond, Nancy Olson, Natalie Green, Molly Parker and Tootie Ramsey. She was also friends with Cindy Webster, with whom she shared a room, often treating her as a younger sister, and heiress Blair Warner, but their friendship was often marred by competition and Blair looking down on Sue Ann's rural background. They all shared the same dormitory at Eastland, joined by Edna Garrett, who became their temporary house mother, a role that remained the full school semester.

Cute, boy-crazy and intelligent, Sue Ann was the tutor of the group, often helping the others with their school work since she always got good grades in school. However, her status of being the smartest girl in school was threatened when Tootie discovered everyone's I.Q. scores from their previous school and revealed them to the others. Revealed to have the lowest number of the girls, Sue Anne became demoralized and retaliated with jealousy by slandering Nancy, who had the highest number. Even though the discovery placed great weight on Nancy to excel, the fallout resulted in Sue Ann wanting to drop out of school, but Mrs. Garrett managed to assured her that her I.Q. had nothing to do with her abilities and self worth. After that, Sue Ann felt better about herself.

When it came to socializing with boys, Sue Ann was also competitive with the other girls, particularly with Blair, but she was also particularly competitive when she decided to drop from the school track record, and Cindy began to excel beyond her expectations. Re-entering track to hold on to her record, she started competing against Cindy despite having trained her, but when it was revealed Cindy's new record was a hoax to bolster her self-esteem, Sue Ann apologized and became friends with Cindy again.

After graduating, Sue Ann went into business and got a job at a unnamed corporation in a paltry job as an office worker. In 1986, Sue Ann returned to Peekskill for her school reunion and visited Natalie, Blair and Tootie along with Nancy and Cindy where she claimed she was an executive in the company. Her classmate, Jo Polniaczek, however, learned the truth about her position, and she swore her to secrecy to protect her reputation before the girls.
