Nancy Olson was a fictional character on the TV series, "The Facts of Life." She was played by child actress Felice Schachter in nineteen episodes of the series and one episode of "Diff'rent Strokes."

Bio[]

Nancy Olson was one of the students at Eastland Academy, where she was friends with several of the girls, including Sue Ann Weaver, Natalie Green, Cindy Webster, Tootie Ramsey and Molly Parker. Described as an all-American teenager, she was well-rounded, but she wasn't the best student. She did come out however with the highest I.Q. score of every girl at Eastland. Her main delight was talking on the phone for hours to her never-seen boyfriend, Roger Butler.

Nancy seemed to have a friendly rivalry with classmate Blair Warner, but she also considered her a friend at times. She would often get insanely jealous if any of the girls tried to get with Roger. When she heard about Blair's plan to secretly meet him in New York, she dumped a bowl of ice cubes down the front of her uniform. It was later revealed that Blair wasn't interested in Roger and was just using him as her ticket to see Baryshnikov).

In 1979, Nancy's scholarship at Eastland ran out and Edna Garrett, the potential house mother, encouraged her to try out for the school play to get a scholarship. The option greatly benefitted Nancy, and she performed well enough to remain at Eastland. Over time, she and Mrs. Garrett became close friends, and Nancy began going to her for answers to her problems.

In 1986, Nancy, Cindy and Sue Ann returned to Peekskill to visit Tootie, Natalie and Blair and revealed that she and Roger were engaged and expecting their first child.
