Edna's Edibles was a pastries and delicacies shop located in Peekskill, New York, It was founded by Edna Garrett after she became disillusioned with her job at Eastland Academy. Funded by her son, Raymond Garrett, she sold many of her personal pastries and recipes through the shop.
From the exterior, the structure looked like a Colonial residence with a placard out front that read "Edna's Edibles." The store was in the front half with a parlor in back for the residents in back. Edna slept in an upstairs bedroom along with Blair Warner, Jo Polniaczek, Natalie Green and Tootie Ramsey in the attic space while they worked in the store during the day. In later years, Edna's sister, Beverly Ann Stickle and Andy Moffett would also live here in later years.
Not much is known about the structure's history. On Halloween 1983, a local man named Mr. Bigley claimed the structure was once the Old Gruber House, where four German sisters lived until one of them murdered the others. However, this history turned out to be fictional for a short film Natalie was creating for her film class so it might not be credible. In 1985, the structure caught fire and burned down. By this time, Edna was wanting to cut back on her involvement on the store and left the re-construction to the girls, creating the novelties store, Over Our Heads on the ashes of the site.
